Sharjah Islamic Bank has recently launched a new ATM, designed to serve both drivers and pedestrians. Located on Lake Khalid in Sharjah, near the Holiday Inn International Hotel; the ATM will be situated near the Holiday Inn Hotel and is the latest device to join the Bank’s growing network of ATMs, which is currently being expanded throughout the UAE.

Qassem AlBloushi, the Head of e-channels of Sharjah Islamic Bank stated that the new cash machine was specifically designed to fit with the nature of Lake Khalid Corniche in Sharjah. He added that the new ATM’s location was influenced by the fact that the Bank want the machine to be available to the maximum number of customers possible; the Lake is an area of attraction for both tourists and residents. The main advantage of the new ATM is the special ‘drive – thru’ course, which allows drivers to use the machine without having to leave their vehicle. The other side of the machine provides those customers on foot with an equally convenient service.

AlBloushi has confirmed that the recent initiative to provide new and unique banking services to individuals; such as this new ATM experience, was met with enthusiastic reception from various users, whether they were pedestrians or drivers. This has encouraged Sharjah Islamic Bank bank to repeat this experience in other tourist sites in the Emirate. Moreover, an ongoing study is taking place to propose new sites, within the framework of the bank’s efforts, to provide innovative banking solutions for all segments of society in various regions of the Sharjah, in accordance with the Bank’s Management strategies which aims to expand the scope of outstanding services, for both companies and individuals alike.
